COVID Prevention Alternative to Vaccines
Vaccines are taken to improve the immunity of a person. There are verified vaccines in the world that people are taking. However, with COVID 19 virus causing panic every day, people have had ideas developing on ways to fight the pandemic until they feel safe. New treatment or prevention methods will come to be. Some are not effective but people will try anything including everything. People are going to traditional treatment methods, some herbal methods. To boost their immunity people have taken all sorts of vitamins and other known boosters. These methods may work for some and not all. (Nandan, A at el 2020)It’s just safe to try since all the boosters can do is good and not harmful. Teas and essential oils are being taken all in the name of fighting the virus.
Unsafe treatments are being taken and not clinically proven. A drug by the name of Ivermectin has been seen to go around as being effective. It’s not clinically proven and there is no 100% effectiveness. With few success stories, everyone is in the rush to get it. This is where the problem begins. Due to panic, people cannot wait to be given clear directives on the drugs. (Nandan, A at el 2020)
With these highs and lows, there are safer ways to prevent the virus from spreading. The preventive measures advised by the world health organization are still effective and are easy to observe. Wearing a mask at all times, keeping your hands clean by sanitizing, avoiding crowded places, and practicing physical distancing. Effective hand sanitizers contain alcohol, which is formulated to be safe for use on hands. Washing surfaces with these kills the virus on surfaces and constant cleaning is advised. It’s much safer and effective to do what is right to fight the pandemic as soon as possible.
