Currently, the highest campaign against covid 19 is the vaccination process. More education and research have been taken toward that direction. All available COVID-19 vaccines have been authorized by the World Health Organization (WHO), and are safe for consumption for the recommended ages, 12 years and above. AstraZeneca vaccine, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson vaccine are among the available vaccines and most used. The vaccination process is ongoing and there are hopes that in a few years to come everybody will be vaccinated making the world a step closer to stopping the spread (Hadi, A. at el 2020).
The use of effective hand sanitizers that contain alcohol, which is formulated to be safe for use on hands and surfaces, is always recommended. Other disinfectants, soaps, and bleach with the help of hot water are important steps in preventing the spread of the virus. Washing surfaces with these kills the virus on surfaces and constant cleaning is advised. It is important to note that these products are not used in self-medication, and cannot be drunk.
It’s advisable to avoid crowded places and when necessary to always maintain a one meter or six feet distance (Hadi, A. at el 2020).This is to avoid contact with people who you do not know their status. Some people do not show any symptoms of the virus but all are sick and can spread it to others. Self-protection should be taken on a high note, and less interaction ought to be observed.
People should wear masks at all times they are outside or in crowded places. The type of mask a person wears is a key issue. They should put on a 3ply mask as the adult for equal protection. The size should be appropriate and should be well-fitting covering the nose and the mouth at all times without falling. Mask should always be worn apart when a person is alone indoors, to protect one and others around.
